We've been watching Spring and Summer 2018 collections religiously and we have to admit, men's trends have really stepped up their game this year. From added textures to pops of color to bold patterns, there was no shortage of killer looks on the runway.
We were so obsessed, we thought "why not incorporate a trend watch for mens looks???". So here we are.
From Milan, to Paris, to London, to New York, to Toronto fashion week, here are the BIGGEST trends for men in Spring and Summer 2018:
A Splash Of Color
This season we saw men of all shapes and sizes strut the runway in color. And we're not talking bland colors; from head to toe, men showed off pastels (with a focus on PINK) and vibrant shades.
If you're thinking of trying this trend out, we suggest picking one color and layering it on as a suit. It's a bold statement and makes for a super fashion forward look.
Designers are throwing it back to the 80s with this trend. Unlike the infamous high-waisted jeans trend for women, we're seeing high-waisted trousers for men everywhere. Tailored or loose fitting they're a must for this season.
If you're looking to try this trend out, we suggest pairing a neutral color with an eccentric top.
This was a trend we definitely didn't see coming. Hawaiian inspired prints came crashing in during fashion week; shirts, pants, skirts, you name it! It's a versatile trend that just screams summer!
If you're looking to try this trend out, we suggest doubling up on patterns. A nice Hawaiian shirt with a similar print on the bottoms will make you look high fashion af.
Too risky? Try a patterned shirt with a pair of kaki's.
Toss those dark denim jeans you've been sporting since 2014, because this spring and summer mid-wash denim is in. With a more baggy look than your typical "skinny" or "straight" cut jean.
If you're looking to try this trend out, try a wide legged pant to achieve the "dad" look that's all the rage right now!
Stripes on Stripes
From Prada to Balmain to Versace, it seemed as though every designer has incorporated some element of vertical stripes into their wardrobe. Top to bottom, vertical stripes are a must this season.
If you're looking to try this trend out, we suggest layering on a variety of vertical stripes for dimension and flare.
This is by far our favourite trend of the season. Jumpsuits have made their debut for men on the SS18 catwalks and they are everything! Whether they're dark, light, patterned or textured, these jumpsuits are wearable day and night.
If you're looking to try this trend out, we suggest accessories. Add a belt to give a utility look or a neck chain for a more "relaxed" vibe.
Shorts on Shorts
We hope you haven't been skipping leg day because this season short shorts are in and more sophisticated than ever! Seriously, these looks had us thinking: where have short shorts on men been all this time?!
If you're looking to try this trend out, we suggest pairing them with a long sleeve shirt. Sweater or button up, it gives the shorts a more posh look.

Did Someone Say Athleisure?
I think we can all finally agree that athleisure is not just a trend for models off duty! For summer and spring 2018 edgy and fun sportswear is here!
If you're looking to try this trend out, we suggest adding color! It's a fun way to bring your athletic wear from "I'm going to the gym" to "I'm high fashion".
